About
Hey, I'm Jake, glad you found me! 🤙 In case you didn't see it above, I'm a grad student at Tufts University in the M.S. Human Factors Engineering Program. I studied user experience and user interface design at Cal Poly for undergrad and then pivoted into human factors after taking a HFE class that really inspired me.
So far, I've had the chance to work on a project where we proposed modifications to autonomous delivery robots to make them more ergonomic for people in wheelchairs. I'm also currently working on a project to redesign lifeguard rescue torpedoes, and am part of a research group working to improve the longevity of lower limb prosthetics.
Outside of academia, I love playing Spikeball, running, mountain biking, and pretty much anything else outdoors. I'm a big indie rock guy and some of my favorite bands are Cage the Elephant, The Knocks, and Phoenix. I'm also a member of the Tufts chapter of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
That's the important stuff at least. I'd love to connect if you'd like to hear more! 🚀
